According to Deputy Moscow Mayor for Urban Development and Construction Marat Khusnullin, the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line will be extended to Golyanovo. The job will get underway between 2022 and 2023.
He remarked that it was due to a request made by the people living in that area that the station will be built. It is no easy task to build a line in this particular place as it has already been densely developed and hence the engineering plans for the tunnel have to be well thought out.
“At this stage the station’s specifications are being determined: location, depth and approaches,” said Marat Khusnullin.

In the future, passengers will be able to change from Kommunarka station and use the new Kommunarskaya Line.
