Sergei Sobyanin on the new production launches of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ
The Rudnev site had the highest number of enterprises opened last year.

In 2023, 35 production facilities opened in the premises of special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow. This is 30 per cent more than in 2022, Sergei Sobyanin said in his blog.

‘‘Over the past few years, Moscow’s economy has been operating in conditions close to extreme. Despite the situation, the city is developing intensively; new high-tech enterprises are opening their doors, and new job opportunities are being created. This is not a miracle, but the result of systematic and comprehensive support of the capital’s industry, which, among other initiatives, is a part of the national project “Workforce productivity”, Moscow Mayor wrote.

The total number of production sites in the SEZ territory has exceeded 200; over 16.3 thousand high-tech job opportunities have been created there. The new enterprises are engaged in the field of import substitution and production of goods that have no domestic analogues.

Rudnevo Industrial Park

The SEZ site in Rudnev has become a leader in the number of new production facilities. In early July 2023, Nyukon Energy opened a capacitor manufacturing facility. Its equipment is used in lighting products, power electronics, launchers, as well as for reactive power compensation.

Due to special materials, the company’s products have high moisture and vibration resistance, they feature good heat transfer and increased breakdown voltage. In the nearest future, the company plans to launch the production of electronic components necessary for the development of green technologies like electric vehicles, solar and wind energy technologies.

In August, as part of an offset contract with the city , the VIP Camilla company opened a factory manufacturing absorbent medical underwear. The facility has already reached its full production capacity, produced 10 million units of goods, and established supply lines to satisfy the needs of the city. The cost of retail products is 1.5 times lower as compared to imported analogues.

“BFS has launched a modern ATM production in Rudnev,
powered by the domestic Elbrus microprocessors. Most of the operations at the site are automated. For example, a robot is in charge of the welding works; 3D printing and prototyping of plastic ATM parts are also incorporated in the production process,” Sergei Sobyanin noted.

Recently, the company has presented an experimental sample of the first unmanned hydrogen-powered helicopter SH-750. The machine is capable of carrying a load of up to 300 kilograms with a maximum speed of up to 200 kilometers per hour.

Alabushevo site

Technopolis Moscow SEZ in Alabushevo accommodates one of the largest pharmaceutical clusters in the country. As of today, it comprises eight enterprises producing vitally important medicaments.

In 2023, the Velpharm M factory launched the first production line of the solid dosage forms there. In the next few years, the enterprise plans to produce over 300 drugs to treat multilocular sclerosis, respiratory diseases, heart conditions, etc.

In August last year, the R-Opra pharmaceutical factory started manufacturing modern medicines for the treatment of oncological, cardiovascular, neurological, and other diseases. The enterprise can produce up to 270 million packages per year.

Micron site

In December 2023, the Micron site launched a microchip packaging line for the Troika Travel Card.

‘Now it is a completely domestic product; its technology can be implemented in production of any other documents with embedded electronic media, like Moscow Resident Social Card or foreign passports, ’ Sergei Sobyanin emphasized.

As early as this year, the enterprise is to start producing transport cards with next-gen chips. They possess a higher degree of safety; their service life has been extended to 10 years.

Pechatniki site

The Lassard company started high-tech production of lasers and laser equipment at the SEZ site in Pechatniki. The company’s product line includes over 200 units of goods; the range has expanded by four models over the year.

Last year, the manufacturer of medical equipment TZMOI opened a metalworking and robotic welding workshop. With its help, the company will be able to produce a quarter more steam sterilizers, cabinets for sterile storage of endoscopes and disinfection equipment. Moreover, the number of high-tech job opportunities will increase by a third; up to 120 Muscovites will be able to find work there. The capacity of the enterprise allows producing over 1.5 thousand units of medical equipment per year.
