Experts of the international award recognized EMIAS.INFO mobile app as one of the best

The EMIAS.INFO mobile application of the unified digital healthcare platform made among the top five winners of the international eHealthcare Leadership Awards, and received a distinction prize in the Best Native Mobile App category. The winners were announced on November 4 in Las Vegas as part of the 25th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference. This leading awards program draws some 1,000 entries from different countries.

The mobile app users have full access to information about their health in the Medical Records section, where they can get acquainted online with the protocols of examinations with doctors, laboratory results, results of CT, MRI, fluorography and other instrumental studies, epicrisis reports from in-patient hospital, vaccination history, including that of their children. It is also possible to enter personal and family history data in the electronic medical record. In addition, information about current prescriptions, sickness certificates and data on ambulance calls is available. Medical documents from the mobile application can be downloaded and e-mailed or sent via messengers. Users also have the opportunity to add medical documents to the medical record themselves.

EMIAS.INFO mobile app was created at the end of 2014. Its users can make an appointment with a doctor, for laboratory tests and medical procedures, view appointments with specialists, cancel and reschedule them. In addition, an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination or testing for the presence of antibodies to covid infection is available. The application makes it possible to set up notifications about upcoming appointments with doctors, as well as add an event to your calendar. The application was developed by specialists of the Moscow Department of Health and Department of Information Technologies.

One can download the EMIAS.INFO mobile app in Google Play, App Store and App Gallery. For correct operation of the service, it is necessary to timely update it.

Development of digital services in the field of healthcare is among the city’s priority tasks. The number of city services converted to the electronic format is growing, and many of them are adapted for smartphones. EMIAS.INFO mobile app was downloaded by more than 3.8 million people, 1.4 million of them regularly use mobile electronic medical records — this is nearly every second person who has access to medical records.

In 2017, Moscow received the Global mobileGov Awards 2017 International Award, that is granted for achievements in the development of electronic mobile services provided to citizens by the State. It was awarded for creating a single digital platform in the field of healthcare.

And in 2021, EMIAS projects and services (electronic medical records, telemedicine centre, register of patients with coronavirus infection) were included in the comprehensive list of the Moscow Government digital projects aimed at countering the coronavirus infection spread, and won silver prize at the international IT World Awards 2021. The project was awarded in the Team of the Year During COVID-19 nomination.

The organizer of the eHealthcare Leadership Awards is a US company Plain-English Media LLC and its division Plain-English Health Care. The prize is awarded for work aimed at creating outstanding medical websites and digital initiatives. This year, 111 digital marketing experts in the healthcare sector evaluated the projects.
