How it works: in Moscow, QR codes for visiting cafes, restaurants and public events can be received from June 25
Visiting the city catering establishments and public events with more than 500 people will need a special QR code. Foreign citizens can do this on the website immune.mos.ru.
QR codes will be available to citizens who have been in Russia and have had COVID-19 over the past six months, either have been vaccinated here with the second component of the vaccine (or single-component vaccine), or have a negative PCR test valid for three days from the date of registration analysis results in the laboratory. Undergoing PCR testing is required in one of the laboratories in Moscow connected to the Unified Medical Information and Analytical System (UMIAS). The list of institutions can be found on the website of the Moscow City Health Department.
Checking QR codes when visiting restaurants, cafes and public events in Moscow will start on June 28. At the same time, children and adolescents accompanied by parents or legal representatives will not need such a code.
Summer verandas and seasonal cafes will operate without checking QR codes through July 11. Restrictions also do not apply to catering establishments at hotels, hostels, canteens at enterprises and educational institutions, provided that admission there is prohibited for unauthorized persons.
How to use the QR code service on the mos.ru portal
In order to receive a QR code on mos.ru, click on the button “Get a QR code for foreign citizens”. After that, a form will appear on the screen in which the last name, first name, patronymic, date of birth, mobile phone number, series and number of the foreign citizen's passport and the number of the patent for work in Russia (if any) shall be specified. Before submitting the application, double-check the data; make sure that they correspond to the information specified during vaccination, treatment for COVID-19 or undergoing PCR testing.
When confirming the fact of vaccination, previous illness or a negative PCR test, a QR code will be displayed on the screen. It can be saved to the device or printed.
If the data is entered correctly, and the QR code is not displayed on the screen, the user will receive an instruction describing the algorithm for further actions.
The Moscow government has made decisions that would help to protect people as much as possible, reduce the burden on the health care system, as well as maintain the normal operation of public catering, trade and other sectors of the economy. Thus, from June 22, a temporary prohibition on holding concert, entertainment, sports events, which can be attended by more than 500 people at the same time, is being imposed. This includes the events held both outdoors and indoors. Fan zones and dance floors will be closed regardless of the number of participants.
