Everyone must wear protective gear – masks, respirators and gloves – at stores and on public transport.

Starting 12 May, Moscow production facilities and construction companies will resume their operations on the condition that they comply with the strict sanitary and epidemiological requirements.

Only those workers whose presence at production shops, offices and construction sites is necessary for technological reasons can return to work. Everyone who can work remotely must stay at home.

Moscow will extend its temporary restrictions to 31 May. Entertainment facilities, beauty parlours, fitness centres, cafes and restaurants will remain closed. Sports, entertainment, public and other mass events are still prohibited.

Grocery stores, pharmacies, pet stores, delivery services, telecom shops and stores selling essential goods will operate as usual. Temporary kiosks will open in the Moscow Metro where passengers can purchase gloves, masks and respirators.

Starting 12 May, everyone must wear masks, respirators or other face coverings, as well as gloves, at stores, shopping malls, workplaces, and on all types of public transport and taxis. In public spaces, it is necessary to keep a 1.5-metre distance from each other.

The city will offer extensions and renewals of unused travel cards for public transport after 31 May. Travel cards will be renewed on the condition that no more than 15 trips were made between 30 March and 31 May.

Workers’ digital permits that expired on 11 May will be extended to 31 May, inclusive. It is not necessary to provide your passport number, mobile phone number, email address or other information, unless that information has changed and needs to be updated.

The process of receiving digital permits for one-time trips remains the same. They can be obtained twice per week; permits for trips to medical facilities and for volunteer activities are available every day.

Travel by personal or company transport that is not included in the register is not allowed. Owners of these cars will face administrative responsibility. The registration of the vehicle can be checked online.

All Moscow residents, regardless of their age, must stay at home. Residents may leave home in case of a medical emergency or other direct threat to their life and health, as well as to go to the nearest grocery store or pharmacy, to walk the dog (within a 100-metre distance), take out the trash, and go to work (for those who have to go there).
