Vityaz, Dynamo, Spartak and CSKA will compete for the Cup.

Moscow Mayor's Ice Hockey Cup will be held from 22 to 25 August at Megasport Sports Palace for the 12th time. It traditionally precedes the start of the Kontinental Hockey League Championship.

Moscow Region Vityaz, Moscow Dynamo, Spartak and CSKA will compete for the prize. Teams will play one match at a time and will be positioned depending on the number of points scored.

Previously, Dynamo was the five-time winner of the main trophy (2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018), with four cups won by CSKA (2010, 2011, 2013, 2017). Twice it went to Spartak (2009, 2015). Atlant and Moscow Krylya Sovetov participated in the tournament in different years, too.

This year, 12 Olympic Champions will play in teams. Fans will witness the return of Oleg Znark to the coaching bridge as part of Moscow Spartak and three most significant Moscow derbies.

On the match days, Moscow Sports Department arranges entertainment events. An educational program for young fans will be the main innovation of the tournament. They will not only watch competition, but also listen to professional comments by a hockey expert. It will be broadcast in Russian through the headphones the fans receive before the game begins.
