Shows and performances: 5th fireworks festival to be held in Moscow
Festival guests will enjoy quests, sports, family games and creative workshops.

On 17 and 18 August, the 5th International Fireworks Festival will take place in Brateevsky Park. Eight teams from Asia, Europe and North America will present fireworks shows.

«The international fireworks festival is undoubtedly one of the most welcome and bright summer events. For the fifth time, the best world fireworkers will meet in Moscow. Since 2019 is the Year of Theatre in Russia, we have decided to center its programme around theatrical art,» said Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Moscow Mayor.

The last year's winner, a team from Slovakia, will open the festival. Then participants will present their two-part programmes ― a showpiece (1-1.5 min) and a free program (8 min).

Brateevsky Park will hold four fireworks shows during festive days. Besides, the audience will enjoy quests, sports, family games, creative workshops and performances.

"The festival has always been attracting hundreds of thousands of spectators and tourists. It is one of the landmark professional events in the world of pyrotechnics. We expect it to retain the status of the brightest international summer event of the year and delight all its visitors," said Yulia Voronova, Assistant Director General of the organising company.

The 4th international fireworks festival gathered about 700,000 spectators. It was attended by teams from Austria, Andorra, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Greece, Italy, Slovakia and the US. In 2018, the Year of the Volunteer, its programme was about the good and magic.
