A masquerade ball and beaver lodge: Celebrating Valentine’s Day in parks
Visitors will be able to see how beavers prepare for the arrival of spring in Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo Park, to learn about animal couples in love at the Konny Dvor environmental centre, and to enjoy a masquerade ball on ice in Serebryany Bor.

On Valentine’s Day, Moscow parks will host events for those who are in love with nature. The programme has been developed with the support of the Department of Environmental Management and Protection.

At 2 pm, the Love Story guided tour will begin in Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo Park near the Tsarevna Swan spring. Visitors will walk to a beaver’s lodge and find out how animals are preparing for spring and how their life changes at this time.

At 3 pm, an environmental lesson, How Animals Form Couples: Together Forever, will be held at the Konny Dvor environmental centre. The lesson will be devoted to the strongest couples in different species of animals. A stand will be installed in the Bitsevsky Forest natural and historical park, where visitors can leave their confessions of love for nature.

Biryulyovsky Arboretum invites everyone to a workshop on making heart-shaped bird feeders. The workshop will take place from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm, as part of the Feed Birds in Winter campaign.

In the evening, a masquerade ball will be held at the rink in Serebryany Bor (beach No. 2) between 6 pm and 8 pm. Anyone wearing a beautiful mask can skate for two hours free of charge. Also, valentines will be handed out at the entrance to the rink.
