On 7, 8 and 9 September, traffic will be diverted from some streets prior to and during City Day celebrations.
A section of Tverskaya Street up to the Boulevard Ring will be closed off to traffic and turned into a temporary pedestrian zone as of 12.01 am on 7 September and only reopened again at 6 am on Monday, 10 September.
Between September 7-10, all vehicles will also be barred from the nearby Nikitsky, Gazetny, Bryusov, Glinishchevsky, Leontyevsky and Maly Gnezdnikovsky pereuloks, as well as Tverskoi Proyezd. Traffic will resume here on 10 September at noon.
Bolshoi Nikolopeskovsky Pereulok will be closed off to traffic from 12.01 am on 7 September until 6 am on 9 September.
On 8 September, City Day, Tsvetnoi Boulevard will temporarily turn into a pedestrian zone from 11 am until 5 pm. The adjacent section of Sadovo-Sukharevskaya Street and Volkhonka Street will be closed from 7 am until 5 pm and from 11 am until 9.30 pm, respectively. Moskvoretskaya Street will be closed from 8.50 pm until 9.10 pm. No vehicles will be allowed to enter Trubnaya Square from 11 am until 5 pm.
On 9 September, drivers will be unable to enter the Petrovsky, Rozhdestvensky and Sretensky boulevards from 10 am until 1 pm, as well as a section of Strastnoi Boulevard up to Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street and Petrovka Street, between Petrovsky Boulevard and Uspensky Pereulok.
On 8-9 September, Bolshoi Cherkassky Pereulok will also be off limits to vehicles from 8 am on Saturday until 11 pm on Sunday.
