The Moscow Zoo has extended its summer schedule until 15 September. This means that the zoo will be open from 7.30 am to 8 pm and the ticket offices from 7.30 am to 7 pm.
This decision has been made because Muscovites are expecting a warm spell. The weather forecast calls for warm and sunny weather in Moscow for the next two weeks.
While the days remain hot and sunny, heat-loving inhabitants of the zoo, such as flamingos, capybaras, tapirs and pygmy hippopotamuses, will continue to stay outdoors most of the time. Visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy morning and evening walks in the zoo for another two weeks and admire the amazing animals.
On 15 September, the zoo will switch over to its autumn schedule and will be open from 9 am to 7 pm.
