Moscow team wins WorldSkills national contest

This is the Moscow team’s third victory.

The Moscow team has won the finals of the WorldSkills Russia national competition with 34gold, 18 silver and 12 bronze medals.

This year, the contest was held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk between 8 and 12 August. It brought together over 700 participants and 700 experts. Moscow was represented by 105 college students with 63 of them in the adult category and 42 in the junior.

This is the third victory of Moscow’s team in the national contest finals. In 2016, the team won 15 gold, 13 silver and 11 bronze medals. In 2017, it again was the leader in the medal table, with 22 gold, six silver and four bronze medals.

The winners will have the chance to join the Russian national team at the WorldSkills international competition.

WorldSkills is an international non-profit movement that involves 76 countries. Russia joined it in 2012. The movement’s main goals are to promote working professions and standards of vocational training worldwide.
