At Muscovites’ will: New park on Khodynskoye Pole
The new park has artificial hills complete with vista points plus a trampoline centre.

The new park on Khodynskoye Pole is soon to open for visitors, Sergei Sobyanin posted on his Twitter account.

A new park on Khodynskoye Pole will open soon. We took into account the wishes of local residents, who wanted to have a pond, sports grounds, including those for senior citizens, and special areas for walking pets. It will become one of the best city parks.

The new park has artificial hills complete with vista points, playgrounds and a trampoline centre. Everyone willing will be able to skate, rollerblade, ride bicycles, and play tennis or basketball there.

Part of the park will be dedicated to strength sports: workers are now installing special training equipment. The city will also set up exercise equipment for senior citizens.

At the entrance to the park, there will be a dry fountain; this was a suggestion that came from the citizens themselves. Upon designing the park, the city took into account the results of the vote that took place within the framework of the Active Citizen project this March.

Special attention will be paid to greening. The park has a total of over 10,000 square metres of flowerbeds with over 130,000 square metres of lawns, a pond with an island and an embankment.
