Dynamo Stadium will be remodeled by the end of the year when the renovated sports complex, including the big open sports arena and the small indoor arena, will receive their first visitors.
“Moscow has already opened four stadiums capable of hosting international level matches: Luzhniki, Spartak, CSKA and Lokomotiv. Dynamo will open before the end of the year. Not every city can boast this many world-class stadiums,” said Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Mayor for Urban Development and Construction.
Sport clusters are forming around most of the stadiums. A real sports area is springing up near Spartak Stadium in Tushino, and the Luzhniki Olympic sports complex, already quite large, continues to be developed. There is a sports park near Lokomotiv in Cherkizovo as well. This will happen near Dynamo as well.
Dynamo combines a big open stadium and a small indoor sports arena. The first will hold 26,300 spectators. The small arena will have three configurations: one each for ice-hockey, basketball and concerts. It will only take a few hours to convert the arena. There is an underground car park for 733 cars at the complex.
Replicas of historical bas-reliefs by sculptor Sergei Merkurov have been mounted on the stadium facades. The football field has been equipped with drainage, watering and heating systems, and natural grass has been laid.
