Darwin, Biological and other museums now selling tickets online
Since the beginning of the year, an online ticket service has been available for over 20 museums of Moscow’s Department of Culture. By 2019, all city museums will be selling tickets online. An e-ticket is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. You either need to print the e-ticket or save it to your email account, mobile phone or tablet to later show upon entrance or at the ticket office.

Since the beginning of the year, 24 museums of the Department of Culture have launched online ticket sales. Tickets can be purchased on the official websites of the Museum of Moscow, Manege Central Exhibition Hall, Darwin Museum, Museum of Cosmonautics, Pushkin State Museum, Marina Tsvetayeva House Museum and Tsaritsyno State Museum Reserve.

“The modern online service makes it easier to attract more tourists and boost the popularity of Moscow museums,” said General Director of Mosgortur Vasily Ovchinnikov.

The websites of Moscow museums also support online booking of excursions, lectures, children’s interactive programmes and other events. Some activities require preliminary registration, either online or by phone.

The overhaul of the city museums’ ticketing system was rolled out in 2017 after the integration of the Moscow Centre for Museum Development and Mosgortur, a leader and expert in children’s recreation. The practice of introducing modern technologies into museum service will continue. By 2019, all city museums will be selling tickets online. In all, there are more than 40 cultural institutions.

Recently, Zaryadye Park’s website launched online ticket sales. You can buy tickets to the Soaring Theatre and Time Machine media complexes, Ice Cave,  Zaryadye Underground Museum, and tours and lectures at the Nature Centre, without leaving home.

This summer, school students from all over the world can enjoy free admission to Moscow city museums. Free tickets to the main exhibitions are available at ticket offices. The list includes 90 cultural venues.
