Night race through Moscow to gather 7,500 runners
Organisers call Muscovites to come and support their friends and family and also to cheer on other runners.

Moscow will host a night run on Saturday, 28 July. About 7,500 participants will run along the illuminated embankments in the city centre after dark.

The 10-kilometre route will pass through the very heart of the city: past St Basil’s Cathedral, under Zaryadye Park bridge and along the Kremlin wall. The start and finish lines are in Bolotnaya Square.

Participants will run along the Moskvoretskaya, Kremlyovskaya and Prechistenskaya embankments. They will see the illuminated Krymsky Bridge and the former Red October factory.

Runners who come first, second and third among men and women will get awards. There is no break up into age categories.

Organisers call Muscovites to come and support their friends and family and also to cheer on other runners because it is fans who turn sport events into an exciting experience shared by everyone. Spectators can accompany athletes to the start area and greet them near the finish line.
