The additional fan zone will be located not far from Spartak Stadium and will open on 7 July, Sergei Sobyanin wrote on his VKontakte page.
The fan zone on Vorobyovy Gory has become so popular with Muscovites and tourists that sometimes there has not been enough space for everyone. It also has a food court, an official World Cup souvenir shop, a children’s zone and a lost property office.
The World Cup matches are also streamed on the screens installed all around the city, for example, at the Museum of Moscow, the Museum of Football on Novy Arbat Street, aboard river boats and in the Moscow Metro. In addition, large screens have been installed near bars and restaurants in the city centre.
