Traffic changes around Luzhniki Stadium during the 2018 FIFA World Cup

Between 25 May and 18 July, vehicle and pedestrian access to Luzhniki Sports Complex will be limited due to the preparations for and hosting of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

On match-free days, Luzhniki will be open for the tournament’s organisers, maintenance personnel and accredited visitors. On game days, fans can enjoy the pedestrian zones around the sports complex. A match ticket and a FAN ID will serve as the entrance pass. Restrictions will apply under the security concept of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

On 1 June–15 July, traffic patterns around Luzhniki will change. Sections of Kholzunova Pereulok and Malaya Pirogovskaya, Usachyova and Luzhniki streets will be one-way. There will be two-way traffic on parts of 2nd and 3rd Frunzenskaya streets, 2nd Truzhenikov Pereulok and along Frunzenskaya Embankment’s parallel road. Also, two-way traffic will run all along Lva Vygotskogo, Maly Savvinsky and Usachyovsky pereuloks.

On the eve of the matches and on game days, sections of Dovatora, Yefremova, 10-Letiya Oktyabrya, 3rd Frunzenskaya streets and part of planned street No. 2309 will be closed off. On these days, access will be blocked to Abrikosovsky, Maly Savvinsky, Usachyovsky and Uchebny pereuloks, Novodevichy Proyezd, Savelyeva Street, Frunzenskaya Embankment and parts of Kooperativnaya, Bolshaya Pirogovskaya, Malaya Pirogovskaya, Pogodinskaya, Usachyova and Khamovnichesky Val streets.

Luzhniki Street and Luzhnetskaya Embankment will be closed to traffic throughout the 2018 World Cup. Also, exits will be blocked from the outer rim of the Third Transport Ring to Novodevichya Embankment.

Vehicle access to buildings located in the vicinity of Luzhniki Sports Complex will be provided without any hindrance for the people who live nearby upon producing a special permit issued by the Central Administrative Area Prefecture.
