2018 FIFA World Cup: Discounts for fans in Moscow parks
During the 2018 FIFA World Cup, fans will enjoy 10 percent discounts at cafes and restaurants in Gorky and Muzeon parks, as well as at the cafes in the Nature Centre and Media Centre in Zaryadye Park. To get a discount, a FAN ID is required (an ID card to get into World Cup matches – mos.ru).
“Luzhniki Stadium is near the city centre, so after a match fans will be able to walk to the nearest parks – Gorky Park, Muzeon and Zaryadye,” Deputy Mayor and Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Maxim Liksutov said.
Fans will receive special guides with information on the routes to the stadium before matches and from the stadium after matches. Tourists and locals will be able to choose the most convenient route and transport.
Fans from other cities and countries will get over 1.4 million free guides around Moscow. In total, 960,000 tourist maps and 480,000 tourist guides will be produced. They will be available in six languages: Russian, English, Chinese, German, French and Spanish.
Guides will contain information about Spartak Stadium and Luzhniki Big Sports Arena, the schedule of matches, information about museums, theatres and tourist routes, and the contact numbers for emergency services. They will also include directions to the Fan Fest venue on Vorobyovy Gory.
