Call centre operators help football fans from many countries and other Russian cities find lodging in suitable locations and for acceptable prices.

A city hotel call centre for tourists and 2018 FIFA World Cup fans has opened in Moscow. It provides information on vacancies at city hotels and recommends lodging in suitable locations and for acceptable prices during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Hotel bookings can be made by calling +7 (800) 302-31-12 and +7 (800) 350-51-12 (international calls) and +7 (495) 587-71-12 (local toll-free calls).

Operators speak five languages: Russian, English, French, Chinese and German.

“Tourists usually have no problem finding hotels in Moscow. However, for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the number of people coming to Moscow this summer will be dramatically higher. Many hotels, especially in the centre of the city, are now fully booked for this period. Still, there are hotels and hostels farther from the centre that have passed inspection and can proved quality service. Some rooms are still available. We help fans book rooms and we help hotels find guests,” said Head of the Department of Sport and Tourism Nikolai Gulyayev.

The hotel call centre uses a special information base with over 6,000 rooms at Moscow hotels. Callers are asked to leave their telephone number or email address so the desired hotel can contact them. This information base will grow with time and will include most hotels around the city.

2018 FIFA World Cup matches will be held in 11 cities: Moscow, St Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Ekaterinburg and Saransk.

Moscow will host 12 matches. The main events will be held at Luzhniki Stadium where four group stage matches will take place, including the opening match, a Round of 16 match, a semi-final and the final. Spartak Stadium will host five matches: four group stage matches and a Round of 16 match.
