Soon drivers will be able to turn left onto the outbound direction of Leninsky Prospekt through Apakova Proyezd from the inner (clockwise) side of the Garden Ring.
The preparatory work at Zhitnaya and Mytnaya streets will soon be completed, Moscow’s Traffic Management Centre reports. Apakova Proyezd will also be restripped with four lanes in each direction at the Mytnaya Street intersection.
The left turn from the Garden Ring will open as soon as the start-up and adjustment of the new traffic signal is completed. The new route will reduce the travel time from the Garden Ring to Leninsky Prospekt to just five to ten minutes during peak hours. The city urges drivers to be careful and pay close attention to the signs and information boards.
The city also warns drivers that the turn from the clockwise side of the Garden Ring to Leninsky Prospekt via the turn over Oktyabrsky Tunnel is now closed. Drivers will be able to make a U-turn at the anticlockwise direction of the Garden Ring after the turn at Zubovskaya Square.
