Ecofest 2017, one of Russia’s largest environmental festivals, will take place in Moscow’s Hermitage Garden on 26-27 August.
Test-drives of environmentally-friendly vehicles will be organised in the very heart of the city. At the fair that will open there, visitors will be able to buy items made of natural materials, and the food court will offer vegan and vegetarian dishes. Cooking workshops will be available for all those interested.
Festival-goers can enjoy flashmobs, lectures on environmental protection and interactive programmes as well. The lectures will also cover food-sharing, advantages of paper packaging and urban waste problems. Experts will share the secrets of giving a second life to old things and developing one’s own environmental project. After the lectures, speakers will take questions. The most active and attentive listeners will receive prizes.
In addition, children’s music groups will perform for visitors. Participants of a charity foundation will perform the play “Three Bears and Yukhakh” dedicated to separate waste collection.
On 26 August, the festival will last from 11 am until 8 pm and on 27 August, from 10 am until 6 pm.
Ecofests have been organised in Moscow since 2012.
