Passengers can add any tickets to the Troika card from September
The city will install additional ticket vending machines at the busiest metro stations.

From September 2017, it will be possible to add all types of tickets to the Troika card using the Moscow Metro app, said Deputy Moscow Mayor and Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Maxim Liksutov.

“An updated Moscow Metro app, due to come out in early September, will allow passengers to add all types of tickets to the Troika card,” he said.

In all, 550,000 people have already downloaded the Moscow Metro app, he noted.

Additional ticket vending machines will be installed at the Shchukinskaya and Vykhino stations of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya Line (Line 7) before the year is out, he said.

“We will continue to install additional ticket vending machines at the busiest metro stations. We will set up as many machines as necessary at those stations in need of this solution. They will be installed at the Shchukinskaya and Vykhino stations,” Mr Liksutov added.
