The 7th Moscow Urban Forum opened on 6 July and brought together 6,023 people on its first day. Almost everyone was interested in the housing relocation programme stand.
The forum made it possible to see what the future buildings, hallways and flat interiors will look like.
An example of a floor from one of the residential buildings to be built under the relocation programme can be found at VDNKh’s Pavilion 75. The expo also features urban development projects with playgrounds and lawns.
The new quarters will consist of so-called urban blocks with separated public and private areas. This means that only residents will have access to the courtyards. Parking spaces will be established in the streets between the quarters.
The Moscow Urban Forum, dedicated to the development of agglomerations, will continue until 12 July and bring together over 400 speakers, over 11,000 participants in the business programme and 30,000 visitors.
This year’s forum, the largest in its 7-year long history, features a business progamme with panel discussions, roundtables, presentations, public interviews and conferences, the MUF Fest city festival and the MUF Expo developer exhibition, as well as experimental laboratories.
