Twelve Moscow Ring Road interchanges receive architectural lighting

Shchyolkovskoye Motorway, Ryazansky Prospekt and Entuziastov Motorway.

Twelve city entry points have been provided with architectural lighting. Architectural lighting has been installed on bridges and around Moscow Ring Road interchanges at radial motorways. Six of the twelve city “entrances,” including the Varshavskoye and Leningradskoye motorways, now have creatively lit landscaped green areas within the interchange structures. 

Moscow Ring Road interchanges with the following motorways have been given architectural lighting:

- Varshavskoye Motorway;

- Leninsky Prospekt;

- Mozhaiskoye Motorway;

- Rublyovskoye Motorway;

- Leningradskoye Motorway;

- Yaroslavskoye Motorway;

- Kashirskoye Motorway (bridges, interchange);

- Novorizhskoye Motorway (bridges, interchange);

- Volokolamskoye Motorway (bridges, interchange);

- Kurkinskoye Motorway (bridges, interchange);

- Dmitrovskoye Motorway (bridges, interchange);

- Shchyolkovskoye Motorway (bridges, interchange).

“We use yellowish hues on city streets and then cold and warm variations of white on the radial or entry motorways,” said Head of the Department of Housing, Utilities and Amenities Pavel Livinsky.

Bridge supports at the city entries are lit with warm whites whereas framework structures are lit in colder hues. Trees and shrubs are illumined from below with cold white lighting. The hue of building lighting is determined by the colour and architectural design of the building. On city and state holidays, dynamic and bright illumination is used.

Where illumination will be seen this year

This year, landscape lighting will be added at the Moscow Ring Road interchange with Kashirskoye Motorway. The lighting will include buildings on Shchyolkovskoye Motorway adjacent to the Moscow Ring Road. Architectural lighting will be installed on buildings on Ryazansky Prospekt and Entuziastov Motorway.
