2017 FIFA Confederations Cup Park to open in Moscow

The park visitors will be able to see famous football players, take part in competitions and quizzes, and win tickets for matches.

The opening ceremony of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup Park is scheduled for 29 April at Muzeon. The programme will include competitions, football related entertainment, multimedia quizzes and raffles for tickets for the FIFA Confederations Cup. Admission and entertainments will be free for two days.

On the opening day, 29 April, the guests will include Russian football stars and FIFA football legends. Marcel Desailly, 1998 FIFA World Cup champion, member of the French winning team at the 2001 and 2003 FIFA Confederation Cups, legendary defender, will be an honorary guest.

Visitors will be able to take a photo with Wolf Zabivaka, the official mascot of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup will be launched in Russia on 17 June. The first match will be held on Krestovsky Island in St Petersburg between Russia and New Zealand. In Moscow, the Spartak Stadium will host four matches. On 18 June, Chile will play against Cameroon. On 21 June, Russia and Portugal will play On 25 June, Australia will take on Cameroon. On 2 July, the Spartak Stadium will host the bronze medal match.
