The flyovers will serve as transverse links between districts.

Plans for this year include designing three new flyovers over railway tracks that will serve as transverse links between districts, according to Head of the Department of Construction Andrei Bochkaryov.

“Work is already underway to design a flyover over the Smaller Moscow Belt Railway tracks between Prud Klyuchiki Street and 1st Frezernaya Street,” Bochkaryov said. “Construction is scheduled to begin in summer. Work on the design of another two flyovers will begin in the second quarter.”

The first flyover will connect the Entuziastov Motorway and Ryazansky Prospekt. A flyover over the Savyolovskaya Railway Line tracks will link 800-Letiya Moskvi Street and Inzhenernaya Street. The project aims to connect the Altufyevsky and Vostochnoye (Eastern) Degunino districts and put in place transport links between the Dmitrovskoye and Altufyevskoye motorways.

Another flyover over the Savyolovskaya Railway Line tracks will connect Planned Street No. 223b and Khachaturyana Street, as well as the Dmitrovskoye and Altufyevskoye motorways, and allow traffic to flow towards Khachaturyana Street, Severny Boulevard, Dezhnyova Proyezd and Menzhinskogo Street in the direction of the Yaroslavskoye Motorway.

According to Bochkaryov, another two flyovers in the northern part of the city are in the near term.
