Everyone is welcome to submit their design ideas for 40 art installations until 15 February.

The Book Market fair on Novy Arbat will turn into a modern art centre during Maslenitsa (Pancake Week). Retail and animation pavilions will be decorated with works by modern painters inspired by Russian avant-garde classics.

Paintings sent in via Facebook and Instagram have already been assessed by the contest jury, which named the following winners: Alexandra Vorozhko, an illustrator and painting teacher; Alisa Smirnova, a graduate of the Faculty of Philology of the State Social-Humanitarian University of Kolomna; and Anastasia Kuzmina, a painter and graduate of the Art Design Studio of the Moscow Arts-Industrial University, and the team of the Moscow Arts-Industrial University.

Designers, decorators and painters can also submit their design ideas for the 40 Maslenitsa art installations until 15 February. The main festive effigies will be decorated by the contest’s winners in front of visitors. The contest details are posted on the Book Market’s Facebook page.
