The new Strizh international train departs for Berlin from Kursky Railway Terminal for the first time
The train is scheduled to reach Berlin in 20 hours and 14 minutes.

On 17 December, the new Strizh train No 13/14 will set out on its first trip. The route will be Moscow-Berlin. The journey will take 20 hours and 14 minutes.

The train will run twice a week – on Saturdays and Sundays. It is fitted with an automatic track gauge conversion system which requires less time to change from Russian gauge to standard gauge as used in Europe and most countries. The train will run through the gauge changing facility but the process will be done in just twenty minutes. The normal procedure takes other Russian trains about two hours.
