So far, official star ratings have been assigned to 858 hotels accounting for 57,000 rooms.

The authorities are hoping to be through with the hotel certification procedure by the end of the year. So far, official star ratings have been assigned to 858 Moscow hotels accounting for 57,000 rooms, Nikolai Gulyayev, Head of Department for Sport and Tourism, said at a Moscow Government meeting on current issues.

The list comprises 27 certified five-star hotels, 75 four-star hotels, 184 three-star hotels, 94 two-star hotels, 39 one-star hotels, and 439 zero-star hotels, among them 225 hostels.
