Czech trdelniks, Italian porchetta and Russian pies: special treats at the Journey to Christmas Festival
The Journey to Christmas Festival traditionally welcomes guests with hot drinks, snacks and hot meals. Come and savour the food of Russian cuisine and the most mouth-watering meals from all over the world.

Fans of Russian cuisine will be able to choose from golden pancakes with caviar, tea, mead, an ancient Russian honey drink (sbiten), hot pies and roast potatoes in Red Square. Mulled wine, Vienna waffles and roast chestnuts will recreate the Christmas atmosphere of old Europe.

Celebrity chef Uilliam Lamberti and brand chef Bruno Marino have developed a special recipe of the unique Italian porchetta (roast meat roll) for Journey to Christmas, to be served at the venue in Kuznetsky Most Street, near TsUM (Central Department Store).

The Beverly Hills chain of restaurants will come up with special New Year burgers that will also be on the menu in Kuznetsky Most.

The venue between Manezhnaya and Revolution squares will provide quality fast food – rare-breed burgers from the LavkaLavka restaurants.

Novopushkinsky Garden will offer unique meals from the Altai organic food restaurant, such as Siberian red deer steaks, salmon mini-rolls, and veal steaks with brains. Also the menu here will feature pickle soup with mushrooms in Suzdal-style, pies with highbush cranberry and chicken.

Venues in Kamergersky Pereulok and Tverskaya Square will take festival-goers on a food journey – its organisers promise to present new countries and their cuisine every week!

Traditional European delicacies and starters such as the famous Czech trdelniks, juicy grilled burgers and sausages, will be available inside warm eateries in Tverskaya Square.

In Kamergersky Pereulok, Greek food is highly recommended to try along with traditional Russian pancakes, pelmeni (dumplings) and delicious pies.

Filling hot meals such as fajitas, Munich veal sausages, chicken sausages, Bratwurst pork sausages, steaks and barbecue will be the highlights on the Manezhnaya Square menu.

Authentic Russian pies are best to try in Gogolevsky Boulevard, offering over 30 types of them. Stoleshnikov Pereulok will specialise in hot drinks – a stunning variety of tea, unusual tea mixes and hot lemonade along with alluring puddings will leave no room for disappointment!

Hot drinks will be served at all festival venues and include the unique Christmas beverage based on a recipe that has been especially developed for Journey to Christmas.
