Street art ice rink opens in Moscow’s Gorky Park
Winter season to open on 26 November at other Moscow parks.

A street art themed ice rink opened in Gorky Park on 17 November. The opening ceremony featured performances by DJs Deep Fried Friends and the British band, NZCA Lines, which presented its new album.

Street art is the focus of the new skating season at the park. Its main installation is now an eight-metre frozen fountain. At night, water seems to flow thanks to fluorescent paint, and limelight reflections on the coloured surface make the fountain come alive during the day.

The winter season is set to open on 26 November at other Moscow parks. Muscovites can pick any of the 187 rinks with artificial ice covering, the entrance to many of them will be free on that day. Ice shows, figure skating performances, hockey matches and other activities are to watch out for as well.
