Residents and tourists will have an option to visit the Moscow Seasons venues, major musical, theatrical and historical festivals in addition to events dedicated to a number of holidays such as Children’s Day and Russia Day.

The third season of the large-scale Summer in Moscow project will start on May 30 to span over 500 venues across all districts of the capital; most of them are located outside downtown, as announced by Deputy Moscow Mayor Natalya Sergunina.

The key hotspots include VDNKh, Moskino Cinema Park, Revolution Square and Manezhnaya Square, Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, Gorky Park, and Luzhniki Olympic Complex, to name just a few.

The motto of this Summer in Moscow season is “Time to Be Together,”  to be echoed in plenty of cultural, charitable, educational, sporting and other events. The calendar will embrace events dedicated to holidays such as Children’s Day, Russia Day, Youth Day, and the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.

“The main seasonal project will also include major Moscow festivals such as Theater Boulevard, Times and Epochs, Mansions of Moscow, and others. Moreover, residents and tourists will enjoy musical shows, performances, master classes, tours, exhibitions and film screenings,” said Natalya Sergunina.

From operas to historical reenactments

The warm season will, in particular, feature the 5th International Moscow Jazz Festival with over a thousand musicians from many countries to perform at Zaryadye Park, Hermitage Garden, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, and other venues.

Another vibrant event is the 4th Zaryadye Moscow Summer Music Festival to offer operas, symphony concerts, remarkable classical and contemporary music, premieres and debuts.

Meanwhile, the Times and Epochs historical festival will feature battle reenactments and other living history events dedicated to a variety of periods, from the Middle Ages to the outbreak of World War I. The audience will also be offered classes in authentic crafts, demonstration shows, and an exhibition.

This summer, VDNKh guests are invited to the Science and Ice Cream fest with master classes, musical shows, and bike rides. The cultural diversity of Russia’s regions and other CIS countries will be reflected at the Friendship of Peoples national hospitality festival and the 9th Inspiration International Arts Festival to feature concerts, dance shows, theatrical and other performances. The main national exhibition will celebrate its anniversary with the annual ProDvizhenie auto fest, including an exhibition of contemporary and vintage cars.

Moreover, patriotic events, meetings with participants in the special military operation, Heroes of Russia, and representatives of the Russian Military Historical Society will be held in various districts throughout the summer. The Houses of Good under the Moscow Helps project will continue their charity campaign, too. There, one can deliver gifts to soldiers at the front, residents of new regions, or pet shelters.

Active recreation enthusiasts can enjoy dozens of sports spaces, including skate parks, areas for streetball, football and volleyball, and courts for padel, a combination of tennis and squash played with solid rackets. They are available at the Moscow Seasons venues; for the convenience of local residents, rental stations for scooters, balls, and other sports equipment have already opened their doors.

As before, businesses are invited to join the project and hold their own events. Notably, in the 2025 summer season, more than 1,900 companies, or 73 percent more than in 2024, offered programs of their own.
