Treat yourself and stay lean: healthy sweets produced by Moscow brands
Proper diet is the basis of a healthy lifestyle, and is thus essential to the normal functioning of all our body systems. If a person gets the right amount of proteins, fats, carbohydrates and dietary fiber, avoids eating too many sweets, and does some kind of sport, it is easy for them to maintain an optimal body weight and stay young and beautiful for longer. However, sometimes it’s really tempting to eat an extra chocolate candy or other high-calorie dessert. Moscow entrepreneurs have found a solution to this dilemma: their brands include special sugar-free sweets. The Made in Moscow project is showcasing a selection of manufacturers who produce tasty and healthy snacks and desserts. These are sure to please those who are planning to switch to a healthy diet, or who are already watching what they eat.
One such brand is Big Country Wilderness. It offers products made from wild berries, herbs and mushrooms. This summer the brand’s goods were presented in the Yagoda art pavilion in the Moscow-City business center. The most popular products were freeze-dried forest strawberries, dried pine cones and forest lollipops containing peppermint, thyme and pine essential oils. Customers were also eager to purchase freeze-dried berries in chocolate: wild strawberries in mint chocolate and forest strawberries in strawberry chocolate.
“Participation in the Made in Moscow project’s summer market enabled us to introduce a wide audience to our company’s product range. The sales consultants working at the sites basically acted as guides, telling the visitors about our products,” said Natalia Glushkova, the brand’s founder.
Grani produces thin, crispy grain and honey bars. The products are gluten-free, lactose-free and contain no food colorings or palm oil. These bars are a healthy and nutritious snack, rich in vitamins, fiber and protein. They provide the body with energy and are good for those who need a quick boost without increasing their bodyweight. The company’s selection includes mint and spice bars, as well as a specialty range of bars sold in special presentation boxes.
Irina Guda, the founder of the brand, notes that customers appreciate their products for their naturalness and pleasant taste. According to her, the brand’s sets and assortment packs are in great demand, as customers can try out the whole range and choose their favorite.
“Participation in the Made in Moscow project helped us to bring our products to new themed sales platforms and introduce them to a wider audience. This has certainly had a positive impact on brand recognition,” said Irina Guda.
The Lo-Li brand produces healthy lollipops. The are contain the natural sweetener isomalt, which is used in low calorie and diabetic products. The lollipops are available in a variety of flavors derived from natural fruit juices, teas, and superfoods (products that contain a high amount of nutrients per unit weight).
Another manufacturer of healthy sweets is Nattys. Its makes products with natural ingredients. The selection includes peanut, coconut, almond and chocolate pastes made from selected whole nuts. The company also produces chocolate bars with coconut flesh and peanut drops in peanut butter and cocoa.

Those who appreciate natural desserts will also enjoy the Raw to Go product range. Its range includes vanilla soufflé biscuits, hazelnut chocolate bars, buckwheat donuts and a dessert paste made with buckwheat tea. All these sweets are free of refined sugar, flavor enhancers and cocoa butter substitutes.
The Made in Moscow project was established to promote local brands. Today it represents over 7,500 brands, and its website features more than 36,000 products created in the capital.
