The development of business and industry is the main driver of Moscow’s economy. The capital is strengthening its position as a key economic center through innovative solutions, support in the form of grants and subsidies, and the introduction of new technologies. Experts will discuss the development prospects of the capital’s economy and industry at the Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030 forum.

One of the key objectives of Moscow’s business development strategy for the period until 2030 is to create and implement advanced technological developments. An important step in the formation of the innovation ecosystem was the creation of the Moscow Innovation Cluster in 2018 and the launch of the i.moscow digital platform. These tools provide entrepreneurs with access to grants, soft loans, educational programs, and services to help with the registration of intellectual property. Since the Moscow Innovation Cluster began operating, its participants have attracted almost 49.1 billion rubles in private investment, and more than 9,800 companies have received over 20.5 billion rubles in grants and subsidies.

Moscow was one of the first regions of Russia to introduce preferential lending programs. The system includes five directions: two specialized ones (loans to support intellectual property development and export activities) and three for priority sectors of the economy, and provides for preferential loans of up to 30 million rubles, online loans of up to five million rubles and preferential factoring of up to 100 million rubles. In addition, since 2006, the Moscow Guarantee Fund has supported entrepreneurs by issuing about 21 thousand guarantees. This has helped businesses attract more than 399 billion rubles in financing.

The Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030 forum provides more information about business development, innovation and the capital’s economy. The new campus of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University is hosting discussions on education and science. It is home to the Cloud Cities technological progress zone. Visitors can find out what ideas and developments are determining the shape of the future and the living conditions of new generations in Moscow. The site has a hall for professional dialog between representatives of science, business and politics. Here they discuss ideas, develop different development scenarios, and analyze the challenges and opportunities associated with digital and social transformation.
