Three new complexes have been opened on Moscow Technopolis SEZ sites this year

The flight-testing, administrative-production and laboratory-industrial complexes were opened in the Rudnevo and Alabushevo sites of Moscow Technopolis Special Economic Zone (SEZ) The total built-up area of the new complexes exceeds 63,000 square meters. The news was reported by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
“In accordance with instructions from Sergei Sobyanin, the city is systematically developing the Moscow Technopolis Special Economic Zone. More than 230 high-tech enterprises operate in the SEZ, and their number continues to increase. In view of the growing demand from companies for modern research and industrial infrastructure, three new facilities were put into operation at the Rudnevo and Alabushevo sites of the Special Economic Zone in 2025: a flight-testing complex for UAV developers and manufacturers, an administrative and production building for the localization of enterprises specializing in the production of unmanned aircraft systems and medical devices, and a laboratory-industrial complex which will be used for innovative production,” said Maxim Liksutov.
The construction of a modern industrial complex with an area of 26,600 square meters has been completed at the Alabushevo site. It will house high-tech enterprises, including a unique facility producing photonic integrated circuits. The building will also house the Moscow Microelectronics Testing Laboratory, a joint project of the Moscow City Government and Mikron.
A three-story administrative and production building, where unmanned aircraft systems, medical products and products for the mining heavy industry will be manufactured, has been put into operation in the Rudnevo Industrial Park.
Earlier this year, a unique flight-testing complex for unmanned aircraft systems was opened here, where new developments will be tested and drone operators will be trained.
“During the activity of Moscow Technopolis SEZ, companies have invested more than 255 billion rubles in the development of high-tech industries and created more than 22,000 jobs. Today more than 230 enterprises operate in the capital’s special economic zone, 123 of which have resident status and receive a number of tax preferences,” emphasized Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow City Government and Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
On the instructions of Sergei Sobyanin, the city pays special attention to the construction of industrial infrastructure facilities. According to Anton Slobodchikov, Chairman of Mosgosstroynadzor, the city’s construction supervisory body, agency officials conducted on-site inspections at each stage of work in the new industrial and production complexes. Specialists from Mosgosstroynadzor’s subordinate Center for Expertise, Research and Testing in Construction were involved in the checks. Based on the results of the final inspections, the committee issued conclusions on the compliance of the constructed facilities with the approved construction documentation, after which it issued permits for their commissioning.
The status of a resident of the Moscow Technopolis Special Economic Zone gives companies significant tax benefits and preferences. For example, they are exempt from value-added tax on imported goods, and property, land, and transportation taxes, and profit tax is only two percent instead of 25 percent. Companies open production facilities in the SEZ and develop innovative products in the fields of microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, medicine, photonics and other promising industries.
