Moscow International Olympiad of Megalopolises may become an annual event
School competitions kicked off on 4 September in Moscow.

The Moscow School Olympiad of world megacities and capitals, also known as the Olympiad of Megalopolises, may become an annual event, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Leonid Pechatnikov said.

“I think that the 22 cities that sent delegations will share their impressions on their stay and on the competitions, and the number of participants will grow each year,” he said.

The School Olympiad is being held for the first time. It began in Moscow on 4 September and will end five days later, on 9 September. School students will compete in such subjects as IT, Math, Physics and Chemistry.
