400 points in the USE
... was the result achieved by Alexandra Ogloblina, a school leaver from Bauman Engineering School No. 1580, who was the only schoolgirl in Russia to achieve such a high result in the Unified State Examination. She took four subjects: Russian language, specialized math, computer science and physics and scored the maximum number of points in each of them.
For three years now, our final year students have been intensively preparing for the USE. In the second half of the year, they begin to study at special workshops on the subjects they have chosen to do exams in, completing the main program before the New Year. Thanks to this approach, in 2024, young Muscovites achieved superb results in the USE, improving on performances of previous years, for example, in physics and math. Moscow was the only region in the country to have a school leaver who gained 400 points. In addition, the number of students who failed the basic exams in Russian language and mathematics almost halved
This year in the capital there were more school leavers who obtained the maximum possible results in several subjects. Thus, out of the more than 87,000 Moscow’s schoolchildren who took the USE, 1860 students got the highest score of 100 points in one subject, 177 got the highest score in two subjects and 17 graduates got the highest score in three subjects. Over 40 percent of school leavers gained excellent results in specialized math and physics.
The most popular subjects at the USE were informatics, social studies and English. Moreover, the number of school leavers who did not reach the minimum threshold for a pass decreased by 20 percent. Over 80 percent of those who retook the USE were able to improve their results, and 54 percent of school leavers who failed the exams retook them and scored above the minimum threshold for a pass.
