City renames 14 bus stops after MCC stations

The city has renamed 14 bus stops after the nearby Moscow Central Circle (MCR) stations. This will make it easier for riders to change.
“The Moscow Central Ring is set to open soon, and this will be an important event for the city. Mosgortrans policy is to make MCR stations accessible and to notify passengers about the upcoming changes. For example, we have renamed 14 bus stops after the nearby MCR stations, and this will make it easier to see the connections,” Mosgortrans Director General Yevgeny Mikhailov noted.
The following bus stops have been renamed:
- Testovskaya Platform stop for buses Nos. 4, 69, 152 and 869 and trolleybuses Nos. 54 and 66 on Shmitovsky Proyezd, in both directions, has been renamed Shelepikha Station;
- Metro Sportivnaya stop for buses Nos. 5, 64, 132 and 255 on Khamovnichesky Val Street, in both directions, has been renamed Luzhniki Station;
- 2nd Mashinostroyeniya Street stop for buses Nos. 9, 186 and 670 and trams Nos. 20, 40 and 43 on Sharikopodshipnikovskaya Street, in both directions, has been renamed Dubrovka Station;
- 2nd Mashinostroyeniya Street-College No. 27 stop for buses Nos. 161 and 633 and trolleybus No. 38 on 2nd Mashinostroyeniya Street, in both directions, has been renamed Dubrovka Station;
- 2nd Ugreshsky Proyezd stop for buses Nos. 161 and 633 and trolleybus No. 38 on 2nd Mashinostroyeniya Street, in both directions, has been renamed Ugreshskaya Station;
- Ugreshskaya Street stop for trams Nos. 20, 40 and 43 on Ugreshskaya Street has been renamed Ugreshskaya Station;
- Most Okruzhnoi Zheleznoi Dorogi (Okruzhnaya Railway Bridge) stop for bus No. 3 and trolleybus No. 22 on Tkatskaya Street, in both directions, has been renamed Izmailovo Station;
- Most Okruzhnoi Zheleznoi Dorogi (Okruzhnaya Railway Bridge) stop for bus No. 621K and trolleybus No. 57 on a route bypassing Leningradskoye Motorway has been renamed Baltiiskaya station;
- Svetly Proyezd stop for trams Nos. 23, 30 and 31 on Konstantin Tsaryov Street, in both directions, has been renamed Streshnevo Station;
- Likhobory Lokomotivnoye Depot stop for buses Nos. 90, 123 and 621 on Mikhalkovskaya Street, in both directions, has been renamed Koptevo Station;
- Budyonny Prospekt stop for buses Nos. 36, 245 and 702 on Utkin Street has been renamed Enthuziastov Motorway Station;
- 7 Sevastopolsky Prospekt stop for buses Nos. 41, 121 and 826 on Sevastopolsky Prospekt, in both directions, has been renamed Krymskaya Station;
- Nagorny Proyezd stop for buses Nos. 25 and 44 on Nagorny Proyezd, in both directions, has been renamed Verkhniye Kotly Station;
- Tsentr Mezhdunarodnoi Pochty (International Postal Centre) stop for buses Nos. 142, 275, 700 and T1, trolleybuses Nos. 1K, 8, 40 and 71 and trams Nos. 3, 16, 35 and 47 on Varshavskoye Motorway, in both directions, has been renamed Verkhniye Kotly Station.
Current passenger routes will be upgraded and new ones opened prior to launching MCR service. New bus stops will also be installed.

The new MCR passenger line, that circles the city, is scheduled to open in autumn. This line is nearing completion, with workers improving the grounds along the railway.
