Two 24 square metre media screens will be installed in Park Pobedy (Victory Park) on Poklonnaya Gora this autumn. They will show festivities and celebrations, as well as concerts.
“People will be able to come to Poklonnaya Gora to watch major city events held during City Day, Victory Day, New Year’s and Christmas celebrations. The screens will also show footage from the most popular Russian animated and feature films that are related to a given celebration,” the park’s press service reported.
Besides holidays and celebrations, the screens will show photographs and short video clips of the most picturesque views of the park and Poklonnaya Gora in different seasons. Two interactive touchscreen panels will be installed near the screens to provide guests with information about the attractions, amusement rides and the park events schedule.
According to Moscow park authority, Mosgorpark, Park Pobedy will be the first Moscow park to have permanent screens this big, since in other parks large screens have only been installed temporarily and for specific events.
For instance, in May 2016 a large media screen was installed near the Rocket Fountain at VDNKh as part of Victory Day celebrations. They showed old movies like The Great Dictator, The New Adventures of Schweik, Heavenly Slug, and Let George Do It!, as well as live broadcasts of Dmitry Khvorostovsky’s concert.
