Innovative and industrial companies create thousands of jobs in the capital
Emerging technoparks contribute to building an extensive and balanced urban environment and also driving business growth and scaling.

New production facilities are launched at the technoparks, which emerged as part of the program to stimulate creation of employment opportunities, as said by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Moscow Mayor, Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.

“By order of Sergei Sobyanin, we are taking steps to boost manufacturing in the city. In particular, in 2020, the municipality launched a program to encourage local job creation. In accordance with the program, developers are entitled for benefits when re-registering land plots for housing construction if, together with apartment buildings, they build commercial or social facilities where residents of the capital can find employment. To date, investors have built three industrial technology parks, and companies in various industries have already begun to arrange their production lines,” said Maxim Liksutov.

For instance, Prestizhpak producing cardboard products, namely, paper and kraft paper bags, has settled in the Butovo industrial park, neighboring companies including developers of air distribution devices for ventilation and air conditioning systems. Redvent bought a building of over 800 square meters to house part of its metalworking production.

Prefab Technologies, a construction and industrial company, is launching conveyor lines to produce plumbing and attaching modules, plus a shaft assembly line. Manufacturers of medical equipment and beauty products will settle there, too.

“With the program to encourage job creation, more than 1.8 thousand people will be able to find employment in the Butovo industrial park,” said Anatoly Garbuzov, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

Meanwhile, Krekshino technopark plots had been 100% leased by the time it was ready at the beginning of 2024; so, now it accommodates a modern sewing factory.

High-tech companies producing medical products, metallurgy and oil&gas equipment and components occupy three buildings of the Alabushevo technopark, which were opened in Q1 of 2024. Residents may apply for Technopolis Moscow benefits, such as lower taxes, duty-free imports, etc.

Negotiations are underway with future residents regarding innovative production facilities arranged in two buildings and an office building under Alabushevo Phase II, to be completed in 2026. The project will create a total of about 2,500 jobs in Zelenograd.

Since 2020, the program to encourage job creation has covered almost all districts in the city, while the municipality has signed more than 120 investment agreements to build over six million square meters of real estate, including plants, logistics centers, office and retail buildings, in addition to educational, cultural and sports facilities. More than RUB 2 trillion will be invested to boost growth of the city and to create over 281,000 jobs in almost all sectors.

Developers can submit their applications online via the Moscow investment portal.
