BRICS+ Fashion Summit held in Moscow attracts 3.5 million people

As part of the summit, plenary sessions, fashion shows, master classes, lectures and a thematic exhibition took place in the Russian capital.

The BRICS+ Fashion Summit has closed in Moscow. It brought together designers, brand founders, representatives of the light industry and experts from more than 60 countries. 3.5 million people attended the event or watched it live, as announced by Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Moscow Mayor.

The major event took place in Zaryadye Concert Hall and the Parking Gallery. The total area of the forum exceeded 106,000 square meters.

“The business showroom showcases collections of 100 Russian and 30 foreign brands, including from China, Brazil, India, Argentina, Nigeria and Turkey. Hosted buyers emphasized the success of the event. The discussion of deals totaling RUB 250 million is currently ongoing,” said Natalya Sergunina.

More than 220 speakers from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa and the CIS countries took part in the business program of the summit. Their presentations were watched by 12,000 people. Plenary sessions focusing on the entry of fashion companies into new markets, training methods and modern technologies drew the largest audience. At the same time, global industry experts ran a workshop of 98 sessions.

14 fashion shows took place at Moscow’s iconic venues such as the Russian State Library, the Pashkov House, GUM, the State Historical Museum and the Patriarch’s Ponds. Models presented 325 looks created by 126 stylists and makeup artists.

In addition, the Russian capital hosted master classes, lectures, and a thematic exhibition. The World Fashion Shorts festival was held at the Artplay Design Center.

More than 20 Moscow shops and boutiques, as well as 30 restaurants and bars, joined the Moscow Fashion Night event.
