Sports, culture and technology: 30+ themed Moscow Urban Forum spots to unfold in Luzhniki

The Luzhniki Olympic Complex, a major site of the Moscow Urban Forum (MUF), will host more than 30 themed venues to highlight the city’s recent development and future plans, the exhibition around the sports arena to cover about 40 thousand square meters in total, says Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Moscow Mayor.
Spanning 41 days, the MUF exhibition program features more than 350 musical performances, master classes, lectures, film screenings, audiovisual shows and interactive events in addition to themed spots to be arranged in Luzhniki by the structural divisions of the Moscow Government.
The Olympic Complex will become a real “city within the city”, Natalya Sergunina says; the site itself and the adjacent embankment are a live exhibit demonstrating high standards of the Moscow urban environment.
“Moscow is growing very rapidly. In Luzhniki, we will present some features of those large infrastructure projects that are changing the city’s landscape even now, including those running under of the Mayor’s Program known as My District. Welcome to this extraordinary event,” said Natalya Sergunina.
Visitors can start their journey through the forum with the Cube futuristic pavilion of the Moscow Tourism Committee, with the unique audiovisual exposition and the Feel Out Your City show to highlight Moscow’s development over the past 12 years.
The site of the Moscow Department of Culture will present performers, creative groups, street theater and circus actors, visitors to enjoy performances in different genres and formats.
In the pavilion of the Moscow City Department of Information Technologies, guests will immerse themselves into Moscow’s digital ecosystem to get to know about Moscow Digital Twin, take a virtual journey around the city and learn how modern technology is used in culture, municipal services, education, etc.
For fans of outdoor activities, the Sports Department will open an extreme adventure park for them to try themselves in standup paddleboarding, wakeboarding or flowriding. The forum will also feature a half-marathon, e-sports competitions and other events.
The Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development will present goods and services of metropolitan companies at the Made in Moscow festival, while young visitors will be able to participate in competitions organized by children’s brands.
In addition, residents and guests of the capital are invited to visit a fashionable space, two board games area and a venue for newlyweds, take part in fishing and enjoy a gastro fest organized by the Moscow Department of Trade and Services. throughout the six weeks Luzhniki visitors will also be able to ride the Ferris wheel with the height of more than 30 meters.
The organizers will provide necessary infrastructure for diverse comfortable and intelligent family-oriented leisure time.
The Moscow Urban Forum is the largest event in the second half of the summer to discuss challenges and future development of big cities. During six weeks, it will span across four venues to highlight the present and future development of Moscow, these including Gostiny Dvor, Luzhniki, Zaryadye Park, and the Manege Central Exhibition Hall.
