The service is also free for Troika Travel Card season ticket holders.

Moscow student social card holders now have access to a free bike-sharing service, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Transport.

He said that with a 30-day Moscow Resident Social Card subscription, 60 free bike rides are available and 180 bike rides are free if you pay a 90-day subscription. Bikes are free to rent for a 30-minute period. To enjoy the benefit, passengers need to link the card to a personal account of the Moscow Metro mobile app and try Velobike free rides. Learn more about free rides here. The offer does not apply to new 2.0 electric bikes. Free rides are not available with a subscription used only to pay above-ground transport fares.

Holders of the Troika Travel Card season ticket valid for 30, 90 or 365 days can also use the service.

“For many residents, the bike has become an important means of transport. Troika Travel Card and Moscow Resident Social Card holders can now use bikes for free. On behalf of Sergei Sobyanin, we are making this area more accessible,” Maxim Liksutov added.

For urban transport passengers, the MultiTransport Velo subscription is available. The convenient service allows residents to save up to 25 per cent on transport fares per month. In addition, the rent has been reduced until the end of the cycling season.
