53,600 Moscow residents got keys for new apartments within the renovation program and almost 29,000 program participants are currently on different moving stages, says Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Urban Planning Policy and Construction.
From the beginning of the program implementation, 187 residential buildings (with 2.4 mln square meters of living space) have been build and put into commission. 174 new buildings are ready to receive new inhabitants.
“Currently, 166 buildings (2.8 mln square meters) are under construction and 220 new buildings (4.2 mln square meters) are being designed,” says Andrey Bochkarev.
The renovation program was approved in August 2017 and 543 sites were chosen for it. Thanks to the program, approximately 1 mln Muscovites will move to apartments with better finishing.
