D4 to connect over 20 Moscow districts and some nearby cities — Sobyanin
The longest rail route in Moscow to be 86 kilometers long.

The capital is preparing for the launch of the fourth Moscow Central Diameter (D4); engineers together with Russian Railways have already completed the catenary system connection, as announced by Sergei Sobyanin on his Telegram channel.

“This week we will start piloting a new route. The new Olgino station is almost ready in Balashikha’s Zheleznodorozhny microdistrict. And we are completing the new Kutuzovskaya and Testovskaya stations on the D4 connecting line and wrapping up renovation of Poklonnaya,” the Moscow Mayor wrote.

Moreover, metro builders have removed temporary bays at Testovskaya station, which were needed to build a tunnel to connect D1 and D4 in the future. Testovskaya will be one of the largest in-city commuter terminals to link the two diameters, MCC and three metro lines.

The 86-kilometer D4 will be the longest rail route in Moscow and will connect more than 20 Moscow districts in addition to some cities in the Moscow Region.
