The Avangard Stadium was built in 1954 in the Perovo District at 33 Entuziastov Motorway. In 2021, it became the property of the Moscow Government, which developed a project for the first reconstruction of the sports facility in almost 70 years.
As a result of the voting on the Active Citizen portal, the vast majority of participants, 136,118 (82 percent) out of 165,184, supported the project.
The work began in January 2022 and was carried out in several stages. The first stage was completed in 2022, the second — in July 2023. The total area of the project is 12 hectares.
The most important task for the workers was to restore the most precious element of the historical appearance of the Avangard Stadium — the entrance unit with a colonnade from the side of the Entuziastov Motorway. For many years, two mosaic panels on both sides of the entrance showing young athletes — a boy and a girl — have been a special feature of the stadium. In the 1990s, they were dismantled and lost. In 2022, they were completely recreated. The mosaic was made from pieces of smalt using original colors.
A red and white stele with the inscription “Avangard Stadium” was installed in the center of the square in front of the entrance. The art object includes metal elements forming a dynamic early Russian avant-garde design if viewed from different angles.
A new Avangard’s highlight is the dry fountain with more than 150 jets and architectural and artistic illumination, which was installed on the Central Alley. On both sides of it, there are two playgrounds for children of different ages and six sports grounds for playing volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis and workout sessions, as well as for passing the GTO qualifying standards.
The football pitch has artificial grass and a heating system. In addition, historical bleachers for 1,524 seats with eight of them being for people with limited mobility were recreated. Restrooms, locker rooms with showers for athletes, a medical center and coaching rooms were equipped under the bleachers.
Major repairs were carried out in the administration and amenity facilities. In addition to the offices, the stadium houses a conference room, a medical center, coaching rooms, locker rooms and showers.

There is also a fitness area with special fitness equipment for older sports fans, with a space to relax, tennis tables and a petanque court. You can choose any activity you like — from chess to workout.
For outdoor enthusiasts, a multifunctional area with an obstacle course and CrossFit and workout equipment was built. Here you can find four artificial hills of different heights and special loop and spiral tracks between the trees. A skate park and a pump track were also equipped in the territory of the sports center.
“We talked about an indoor skate park — and we made it. It is not an easy project, but we did it, everything is working,” the Moscow Mayor commented.
Ilya Vdovin, President of the Russian Skateboarding Federation, noted that a skateboarding school would soon be opened here, which would allow the street subculture to be transformed into a professional sport and prepare athletes to participate in various championships and the Olympics. “Now we have everything for this,” he assured.
In the GTO area, a special frame was installed for Russian ninja-style obstacle races for the OCR races (Obstacle Course Race). This is an official sport that is gaining popularity in Russia and the world. Training sessions with the use of this equipment will allow everyone to improve their sports skills and successfully pass the GTO standards.
In addition, three sports pavilions were built here. The “Extreme” pavilion is designed for skateboarding and sports events all year round; the “Mobility” — for gymnastics, volleyball, handball, tennis, martial arts, yoga and pilates, the “Game” — for organizing classes for children.
The territory between the pavilions was landscaped. In winter, there will be a skating rink with a skate rental point and a cafe next to it.
Ski rental will also be available on the site. Now citizens can rent bicycles, skateboards, scooters, summer skis, roller skates and cars for children, which are great to ride on the tracks.
Every year about 1.5 thousand people take part in the Ski Track of Russia competition held in the Izmailovsky Park adjacent to the Avangard Stadium. Part of the route runs around the football pitch. The reconstruction did not affect the competition format — skiing fans can use the traditional route.
Special attention was given to the landscaping of the territory of the stadium. More than 500 trees were planted here: linden, oak, maple, spruce, larch, pine; and about eight thousand bushes: currant, spirea, juniper, turf, barberry. The green lawn and flower beds of perennials create more bright accents.
In addition, there are now comfortable paved lanes in the territory of the sports facility; about 450 hardscape elements were installed. The space is illuminated by 170 street lamps and floor lamps.
Besides, a small hotel with an area of 413 square meters was renovated, where athletes participating in competitions will be able to stay. For visitors arriving by private vehicles to feel comfortable, there is a parking lot for 184 cars near the stadium.
Renovated polyclinic on Federativny Prospekt
After the reconstruction, branch No. 1 of City Polyclinic No. 69 was opened in Novogireevo (31 Federativny Prospekt). The four-storey healthcare facility building with the area of 3.2 thousand square meters was built in 1969. More than 48 thousand people receive medical care here.
“We are creating social infrastructure in each district as a priority. It is important that quality medical care is close to one’s home. These days, branch No. 1 of Polyclinic No. 69 in Novogireevo started its work after its reconstruction. The building was practically rebuilt according to the new Moscow standard. This allowed us to increase the number of rooms — GPs and treatment rooms. We installed cutting-edge medical equipment. We ensured a barrier-free environment, developed convenient navigation, improved the territory,” Sergei Sobyanin posted in his Telegram channel. https://t.me/mos_sobyanin/6011

During the work, the polyclinic building was almost completely rebuilt. Workers renovated the façade, replaced utilities, internal partitions and floor screeds, elevators, ventilation and air conditioning systems, door and window units, as well as performed finishing of the rooms. The reconstruction of the building allowed to increase the number of treatment rooms and GP offices, as well as to organize a physical therapy room and a massage room, to create a barrier-free environment for people with reduced mobility.
The polyclinic was equipped with the cutting-edge medical equipment. Under the life cycle contracts, an X-ray diagnostic unit and a U-arm digital X-ray, a 3D mammography unit and a cardiovascular ultrasound system, ultrasound systems, including for urological examination, and a portable ultrasound system were purchased. Thanks to the new equipment, polyclinic doctors will be able to use the most modern diagnostic devices.
Computers connected to the Unified Medical Information and Analysis System are installed in the offices of the medical staff.
In accordance with the new Moscow standard of polyclinics, doctors’ offices are located in such a way as to reduce queues. Patients can spend time in comfortable waiting areas with air conditioners, drinking water, TVs, and soft sofas. The new navigation is user-friendly, so that patients can easily find the right room.
Cozy rest rooms are equipped for medical staff. Physicians’ rooms are equipped with ergonomic furniture: tables, chairs, armchairs, and cabinets. Employees will be able to improve their professional skills and discuss work issues in a professional development and growth office equipped with everything necessary for comfortable work.
The adjacent territory was landscaped. Lawns were created here, paths were paved, benches, trash cans and steles, lighting poles, automatic gates and fencing were installed.
This week, four more renovated polyclinics received first patients — branch No. 3 of Children’s City Polyclinic No. 131 (Ochakovo-Matveevskoye District, 38a Bolshaya Ochakovskaya Street), the main building of City Polyclinic No. 166 (Orekhovo-Borisovo District, 9 Domodedovskaya Street), branch No. 2 of Consultative and Diagnostic Polyclinic No. 121 (Yuzhnoye Butovo District, 27 Venevskaya Street) and branch No. 1 of City Polyclinic No. 219 (Severnoye Tushino District, 23 Vilis Latsis Street, bldg 2). Thus, 97 polyclinic buildings were reconstructed in Moscow. Construction and installation works are being completed at another 104 facilities.
The first new building under the renovation program in Novogireevo
Two residential 21-storey sections on a single plinth on Svobodny Prospekt (property 25/27) is being built according to an individual project. The work is planned to be completed by the end of this month. The new building will harmoniously fit into the existing surrounding buildings. Ventilated façades are finished with granite and clinker tiles, balconies are glazed, air conditioning boxes are provided, which will preserve the architectural appearance of the building.

Renovation program. Novogireevo District
The renovation program in the Novogireevo District includes 72 residential buildings. More than 16 thousand people will move into new apartments. The Moscow Government identified three stages of resettlement of residents. To assist citizens in resettlement, information centers were opened, where people can get advice from representatives of the Municipal Property Department, the Moscow Renovation Fund, the prefecture, the management company, the general contractor and other organizations. Everyone who needs it gets assistance in moving.
My District. Novogireevo and Perovo
Initiated by Sergei Sobyanin, the My District program is focused on setting up a favorable living environment in all Moscow districts, regardless how far from the city center they are located.
235.3 thousand Muscovites live in the Novogireevo and Perovo Districts. A lot has been done there in recent years to improve the quality of their life.
A significant event in healthcare was the opening of a new medical and diagnostic facility of the Loginov Moscow Clinical Scientific Center on Entuziastov Motorway. Now oncological patients receive all types of medical care in one place. Seamless routing, a multidisciplinary team of doctors, modern medical equipment — all this contributes to improving the effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases.
Taking into account the projected increase in the number of patients and visitors, the adjacent territory was landscaped. Now the territory has become convenient for all visitors of the clinic.
