Passengers have already made more than 900 million trips along the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) since its opening on September 10, 2016, Sergei Sobyanin announced on his Telegram channel.
“This is one of the largest and most demanded transport projects. With its launch, over 3 million passengers have got a new type of urban transport and convenient routes reducing travel time. The opening of the MCC has breathed life into the previously abandoned areas around the MCC and influenced their social and economic development,” the Moscow Mayor emphasized.

The most popular stations among passengers are Nizhegorodskaya, Gagarin Square and Rostokino. On average, Moscow residents and visitors make more than 540,000 trips along the MCC every day.
The MCC is 54 km long and consists of 31 stations. MCC’s high-speed electric trains called Lastochka run almost silently and accelerate up to 120 km per hour. The launch of the MCC passenger traffic has reduced the congestion of some metro sections and railway infrastructure.
