Sergei Sobyanin: The Technopolis Moscow SEZ site in Pechatniki District to grow at least twice in 10 years
Companies that locate production facilities in that area will work in such innovative fields as mechanical engineering and electric vehicle industry, microelectronics and pharmaceuticals, developing new materials and additive manufacturing.

By 2032, the Pechatniki site of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone (SEZ) will double up to 77 hectares and the area of production and business facilities will grow three times up to 1.4 million square meters. Sergei Sobyanin announced it on his Telegram channel.

“The Pechatniki site joined the Moscow SEZ in 2017 and now it includes five sites. 130 companies already operating at the site will be joined by new ones engaged in innovative areas, such as mechanical engineering and electric vehicle industry, microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, and so on,” Moscow Mayor says.

Forty-seven of the companies operating at the site are SEZ residents. These include various innovative enterprises, manufacturers of microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, high-tech construction materials, electric cars and their components. They have invested over 20 billion rubles in their production.

According to the Pechatniki site development concept, new production and engineering spaces, as well as necessary public infrastructure will be created. This will help seamlessly integrate new territories into the development roadmap of the Yuzhnoportovy District and make this Technopolis Moscow SEZ site more attractive for future investors.

The Pechatniki site area is to become the heart of the developing Yuzhnoportovy District. Companies that set up their production facilities in that area will work in various innovative fields.

Among other things, the site will house the Moscow cross-industry cluster of electric vehicle enterprises, which has already brought together over 40 companies to complete large-scale projects in a close cooperation. One of its key members is Moskvich Moscow Automobile Plant that produces electric cars in large numbers.

The Technopolis Moscow SEZ comprises 5 sites and 90 residents that have created over 9,000 jobs and invested over 87 billion rubles in their enterprise development. In 2022, the construction of 122,100 square meters of production facilities was completed, which was twice as much as in 2021. In 2023, over 287,000 square meters of production facilities will be set in operation.

The area with a special legal status offers preferential business conditions to investors. The five sites (Pechatniki, Alabushevo, Micron, MIET, and Angstrem) accommodate high-tech SEZ companies and cover more than 223 hectares. The Technopolis Moscow has been topping international and national industry ratings for several years.
