Moscow metro to get improved train cars in 2024 — Sergei Sobyanin

The capital has started assembling improved Moscow-2020 cars, Sergei Sobyanin informs on his Telegram channel. 

The new trains are to be launched in the metro in 2024; all upgraded cars to be tested and scrutinized both at the plant and in the metro to check more than 100 parameters.

“The improved Moscow-2020 trains have a fresh design, with a focus on natural materials,” wrote Sergei Sobyanin.

Meanwhile, they retain key advantages of earlier trains, including wide doors, seamless transitions between cars, user-friendly navigation, etc., more than 500 new cars to run in the Moscow metro in the next two years.
