Gorky Park’s iconic main entrance arch has been renovated, Sergei Sobyanin wrote on his Max channel.

“We kicked off a large-scale improvement project in the park in 2024. We want to preserve its historic character, yet modernize it and create new opportunities for recreation,” the Moscow Mayor noted.

Specialists have now completed work on the arch, a regional cultural heritage site. Its distinctive appearance has been restored: the façade and roof, doors and observation deck railings were revamped and new lighting was added.

A new landscaped area with walking paths and places to relax has been created nearby. More than 15,000 flowering perennials, including roses, hydrangeas, and conifers, have been planted here, and art installations have been added.

“By the end of the year, we plan to complete the restoration of Gorky Park’s historic fence, which forms a single architectural ensemble with the arch. We will then reopen the main entrance to visitors,” Sergei Sobyanin added.

The landscaped area in front of the main entrance is already attracting the attention of park visitors.
